Aydın LGBTI+ Solidarity announced the theme of the 2nd Aydın Pride Week on their social media accounts as the following.
“Happy Pride Month to the entire LGBTIQA+ community! We are announcing the theme of the 2nd Aydın Pride Week!
In the 2nd Aydın Pride Week, we say “No to censor!” despite all the obstacles and bans.
Our LGBTIQA+ struggle, which we have been fighting for years, will never end, we will not let you forget what trans people went through in Esat Eryama, that you drove trans people out of their homes on Bayram Street, that you did not investigate the cases of the murdered LGBTIQA+s in detail, that you closed our clubs, that you appointed trustees, and that you set targets!
We will never forget the physical and psychological violence that the government inflicts on LGBTIQA+s, the government’s murder of LGBTIQA+s, and its becoming a homophobic state!
WE WILL DESTROY THE HOMOPHOBIC STATE!
We will continue our struggle for LGBTIQA+ without getting tired. We say it over and over again!
